Spike lavender Essential oil

The aspic lavender is a shrubby plant with the botanical name of Lavandula angustifolia P. Miller with usually mauve or purple flowers in spikes. This is an aerial plant with pale purple flowers arranged in loose spikes at the top of long stems.

Origin of Spike lavender


Also called "male lavender" or "large lavender", its scientific name Lavandula latifolia ("Broadleaf") or "Lavandula spica" aspic lavender grows in southern Europe, in rather warm regions and low altitude.
It is distinguished from the true lavandre mainly by the fact that the flowers grow at the end of branching stems.

Property Spike lavender Essential Oil

Aspic lavender essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering tops of Lavandula latifolia Medikus.
Aspic lavender essential oil relieves severe burns and insect bites and it is also effective for all skin problems (acne, wounds, fungus, psoriasis, herpes ...)

Uses of essential oil Lavender

The essential oil of spike lavender is indicated for skin problems like eczema, shingles, psoriasis, chickenpox, cold sores and genital herpes, acne, and all kinds of wounds.
Also used for otorhinolaryngology problems, such as ear infections, bronchitis, laryngitis, sinusitis and rhinitis.
